Germany will not participate at Junior Eurovision this year. The nation withdraws just two years after their contest debut.
The German broadcaster KiKa stated that they will ‘take a creative break this year’. One of the cited reasons for the withdrawal is travel warnings issued for host nation Armenia by the German Foreign Office. Despite not participating, KiKa will still broadcast this year’s contest.
The nation first made their debut in 2020 with Susan. She performed ‘Stronger With You’, however unfortunately finished in last place with 66 points. In 2021, Pauline represented Germany with ‘Imagine Us’. Pauline finished in 17th place with 61 points.
